This project starts with the investigation of yeast-fruit fly symbiosis. ​Through three chapters, the project examines 1) how human technologies including agriculture, regional and global trade, industrial selection and genetic technology are affecting symbiotic interaction 2) how yeast-fruit fly symbiosis can inspire us to design our food (fermentation), communication (odor), environment.
