This project starts with the investigation of yeast-fruit fly symbiosis. Through three chapters, the project examines 1) how human technologies including agriculture, regional and global trade, industrial selection and genetic technology are affecting symbiotic interaction 2) how yeast-fruit fly symbiosis can inspire us to design our food (fermentation), communication (odor), environment.
